Held by expert instructors , the Emergency First Response Course is divided into two levels, primary and secondary care . You can specify the level you want to attend once you have purchased the coupon.
The topics covered vary according to the level of the course, but both are dedicated to teaching first aid maneuvers and the first care that is necessary in the event of an accident, both in the water and out.
- CPR (Emergency First Responde Primary Care) : it is the first level of the first aid course, during which you will learn how to respond to emergency situations. They will combine theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, staging realistic situations to increase the participants' confidence in their abilities in the face of emergency situations. You will learn to assess the safety of the scene , taking the necessary precautions by evaluating the primary condition of the person in difficulty. You will then learn to perform artificial respiration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation , managing situations of airway obstruction or haemorrhages or shock as well as spinal injuries.
- First Aid (Emergency First Response Secondary Care) : this course is dedicated to teaching the procedures to follow in the event of situations which, although they do not involve an immediate life risk, it is necessary to face and solve . During the lessons the participants will therefore learn different techniques of secondary care first aid, increasing their theoretical knowledge and rescue skills. The topics covered will be: assessment of injuries and diseases and the application of bandages and splints in case of dislocations or fractures. In addition, topics of allergic reactions, burns, suffocation and much more will be touched upon.
Both courses will take place in the classroom, and are therefore suitable for everyone, even those who do not practice diving. The patent lasts for 2 years and it will be possible to renew it through an update.
