Visit of the city of Bari and Basilica San Nicola

The tour will unfold between different key points of the city tourist itineraries with great attention to the splendid Romanesque cathedral dedicated to St. Nicholas , the bishop of Myra, sanctified by both the Catholic and Orthodox religions, of which the cathedral preserves the remains, the figure of which is at the origin of the birth of the myth of Santa Claus.

The visit will then move to the beautiful cathedral of San Sabino , consecrated in 1292, and to the Norman-Swabian castle , built in its first era by Ruggiero the Norman, with a troubled history that has seen the almost complete destruction by William I of Sicily and a subsequent rebuilding at the behest of Emperor Frederick II Hohenstaufen of Swabia.
