Trekking to the Gorges of TiberiusSKU: 53774
Description of Trekking to the Gorges of TiberiusCrossing the Gorges of Tiberius will allow you to appreciate one of the most beautiful and evocative corners of the Madonie Park, being the result of centuries of work of the Pollina river that has excavated spectacular canyons on the limestone rock.
The trek that will take you up to the gorges will take place on paths dotted with reeds and oleanders that alternate with large blocks of limestone that have limited the expansion of man in these territories. During the excursions you will be guided by the excursion guides of the place, who will be able to tell you anecdotes of these places and guarantee you the necessary safety.
The excursion will first take place on a dirt path that runs along the Pollina River and, after about a kilometer, you will arrive at the Gorges, located about 70 meters above sea level . From here on we will move aboard rubber boats which will allow you to cross the gorges reaching the smaller part of these, where you can stop for a break with a nice refreshing bath.
We recommend the use of comfortable clothing do and waterproof as there will be the possibility of entering in contact with water. The excursion will start with a minimum of two participants.
