Archaeo-naturalistic trekking: the cult of Diana

"From Hell to the Moon", this is the name chosen for this unforgettable day dedicated to the discovery of Rome, on the trail of the ancient cult of the goddess Diana.

In the company of trained local guides we will follow an exciting program all based on archeology and knowledge of the myths that populate the ancient legends of the city.

Our day will begin with a guided tour of the Ship Museum (entrance ticket included in the price), we will be able to observe the evolution of the great Roman naval tradition and also observe the remains of a vessel that it is estimated that it could have belonged to Caligula.

Our trekking will take place, always accompanied by a guide, along the edges of the lake (Castelli Romani Regional Park), during this experience, our guide will reveal some details about the history of the place and the legends that populated religion and popular culture in ancient Rome, you will discover many details on the cult of Diana, goddess of hunting and the woods, a reworking of the Greek goddess Artemis, and you will visit the temple dedicated to her.
During the visit an expert archaeologist will introduce us to the primordial cults that were created around these characters such as "the golden branch" and "Dante's Inferno".

But our day will not be limited to all this! We will savor even more details on the life and history of our ancient city, we will discover its true essence, also through the culinary and confectionery art born in its ancient origins, we will in fact conclude with a dinner for all together based on traditional recipes and with a rich grill.

Afterwards we will be enchanted by the magic of the falconers who will give us a nocturnal show with their birds of prey that we will be able to observe in their masterful flights and with the evocative call of the owls inside the Sacred Forest of Lake Nemi.
