Description of Triathlon from the Middle Ages - multi-activity dayAre you diehard lovers of nature and active days? Get your fill of energy and emotions with this multi-activity day in the beautiful Parco dei Castelli Romani that will take you to discover the beauties of lesser known Rome and to experience many different activities.
The day will begin with a relaxing excursion on electric bicycles (assisted pedaling) that will cross the historic villages surrounding the capital: with the guide you will move between Albano and Ariccia to reach Nemi, the beautiful town overlooking the shores of the small lake of the same name with the ancient temple dedicated to Diana.
One of the most suggestive experiences awaits us here: the school of falconry .
The Master Falconer will show you all the details of this noble and ancient art that carries on the elegance and timing of a practice that is based on the construction of a special relationship between man and bird of prey. We will understand the importance of respecting these beautiful specimens, understanding their needs and behaviors. The falconer will also provide us with some interesting notions on the historical and scientific origins of this discipline.
Under his direct supervision (and consent) we will also learn the basics of the "fist call".
At this point we will mount on horseback for a simple excursion suitable also for beginners that will take us through a natural setting of great beauty, right next to the Via Sacra while the hawks will follow us with their high acrobatic flights .
At this point our day will end with a guided tour of great historical and artistic interest in Lanuvio, for a visit to important monuments of Roman history, such as the medieval church of the Collegiata di Santa Maria Maggiore , the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie and the Temple of Juno Sopita .
