Descripción de Palazzo Barberini

If you are in the Capital, don't miss the magic of the Palazzo Barberini Galleries!

This building, in 1953, became the seat of the National Gallery of Ancient Art: its collections have increased over the years, thanks to numerous and generous donations, such as the contribution given by Henriette Hertzin 1915.

The original collection, however, of the Barberini family, left few remains.

Visiting this museum means preparing to admire works of art from the main schools of painting, ordered chronologically, from the 13th to the 18th century.

You will have the opportunity to appreciate masterpieces by masters such asBronzino, Hans Holbein, Lorenzo Lotto, Tintoretto up to the brilliant >Caravaggio and his followers, known as Caravaggeschi.

But not only that: moving chronologically through the eighteenth-century collection, you will observe works byCanaletto, Subleyras, Mengsand Van Wittel .

In addition to the works of art it houses, Palazzo Barberini is worth visiting, being a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of baroque art, with its 34 rooms and its permanent collection of 500 pieces.

In short, a stop not to be missed! We are waiting for you in Rome, right in the center!
