Club Velico Pegaso

The Club Velico Pegaso offers its members activities and training courses in the discipline of sailing at all levels, organized in the enchanting setting of Lake Maggiore.

The Association's educational program is structured as follows:

• Basic Course 1 - for newcomers to this sport; first technical notions (nomenclature, rigging, gaits, knots, tack, jibe); practical lessons aboard the Meteor.
• Basic Course 2 - in-depth course (subsequent to Basic Course 1) with insertion of new maneuvers (reductions in sails, hood, buoy taking, moorings on the quay); at the end of the course the students can go out on the lake with the boats of the Club in the company of the instructors or others who have the requisites to rent the boats.
• Postgraduate Course - course for those who already have a good experience; explores topics such as man overboard recovery, maneuvering in restricted waters, dockside sailing, spinnaker, fine adjustment of the sails, safety before and during navigation; at least 5 theoretical lessons and as many outings on the lake.
• Capobarca Course - the course explores issues relating to the management of a crew, the organization of a boat trip and the management of navigation.
• Instructor Course - the course lasts several months, normally from October to March, and includes trips to both the lake and the sea and the use of different boats.
