4h canyoning in Rio Selvano

The Rio Selvano, in the Turrite Cava valley, in the heart of the Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca, is one of the longest and most complete torrents that can be found in >Tuscany: waterfalls of up to 14 meters and pools of water alternate with dives and slides with a rope and for this reason it lends itself very well to canyoning.

Once the technical material has been lent to you, a shuttle will take you to the parking lot upstream of the stream, unless you want to get there on foot with a pleasant walk of about half an hour. Before starting, you will receive an initial briefing on safety rules and the best techniques for tackling the route. You will immediately find yourself in front of some small waterfalls and the first real passage: a descent on a steep toboggan. From here the zones will alternate and the most suggestive part will be when you will witness the creek which sinks more markedly and seems to be really sculpted by the passing water. At the end, the more adventurous will be able to launch themselves into a dive of 10 meters!

The duration of the entire activity, including round-trip transfers from the entrance and exit of the canyon, is approximately 5 hours.

The morphology of the stream ensures that the route is never too complicated to tackle: confidence in the water, good mobility and a desire for novelty is all you'll need. Furthermore, the very fact that the groups are made up of a maximum of 8 people allows the staff to monitor you closely. Anyone aged 14 and over can participate!
