Foresto, a small hamlet near Susa, enjoys a particularly mild climate, so much so that typical plants of the Mediterranean flora grow here. Precisely for this reason, a Special Reserve has been established here for the protection of the Juniperus oxicedrus commonly known as the cuddly juniper.
The ravine, i.e. the gorge dug by the Rio Rocciamelone is located within this reserve and the via ferrata that runs through it allows you to see splendid places that would otherwise be inaccessible. There are bridges, very vertical sections, waterfalls. There are also yews, also called Trees of Death, due to their poisonousness.
This via ferrata is one of the most beautiful in the Valley both for its route and for the places in which it develops.
