Ostello del Volo is located in the center of the Monte Cucco Park, in the heart of the Apennines between Umbria and Marche, near Gubbio, Assisi, Fabriano, the Frasassi Caves, etc.

The free flight school and a hiking center are housed in the hostel structure which is the starting point for the various activities that can be practiced in the neighboring areas (canyoning, trekking, mountain biking and horseback riding ...) .

The instructor of the paragliding, hang gliding and paramotor flight courses is Maurizio Tassinari, of the Italian Free Flight Federation.

It is also possible to experience the intoxicating sensation of paragliding and hang gliding flying in tandem with qualified pilots, in total relaxation and safety!

Flying in hang gliding is one of the most exciting air sports.

At the Delta Flight Hang-out Hostel you can register for courses taught by instructor Maurizio Tassinari (from the Italian Free Flight Federation) and experience a unique sporting adventure.

The operational base, both for practical exercises and for theoretical lessons, is the area of Monte Cucco, in the Umbria-Marche Apennines.

The lessons are divided into two parts:

• Basic part - theory of aerodynamics, meteorology, piloting technique, legislation; practical exercises on the flat and progressive slopes; didactic two-seat flights; first high radio-assisted flight
• High flights - use of personal equipment and improved flight technique to gain sufficient experience to achieve the VDS sports recreational flight certificate (issued by the Aero Club of Italy)

The Delta Hang-gliding Hostel provides students with all the equipment needed to attend the base course.

Paragliding Flight Hostel hosts a flight school at its facility that will reveal all the technical secrets of free paragliding.

His instructor Maurizio Tassinari (from the Italian Free Flight Federation) organizes courses divided into two phases, aimed at safely learning the use of paragliding and attaining the VDS sports recreational flight certificate (issued by the Aero Club d ' Italy).

The very small size, the practicality of preparation, the ease of learning to pilot in the initial phases, make the paraglider fun, approachable and practicable by anyone!

The basic flight course takes place over 5 days and includes:

• registration to the Club and to the FIVL (Italian Free Flight Federation) insurance
• didactic adaptation flight with the instructor
• theoretical knowledge of aerodynamics, meteorology and piloting techniques practical exercises on slopes with progressive gaps
• use of school material
• educational texts

This phase of the course ends with the first high flight (700 mt.) as a radio-assisted soloist.

The advanced course proposed by Paragliding Flight Hostel includes at least 20 high solo flights in different places and with various weather conditions. This course gives the possibility of obtaining the VDS pilot's certificate (recreational sport flight) and takes place using the student's personal equipment.

Instructor Maurizio Tassinari (from the Italian Free Flight Federation) organizes free flight courses at the Paramotor Flight Hostel divided into two phases:

• Basic Course - takes place over 5 days; includes membership of the Club and the FIVL; insurance coverage; didactic setting flight with the instructor; theory lessons (aerodynamics, meteorology and piloting technique); practise; the materials used and the educational texts are those of the school; ends with the first high flight (700 mt.) as a radio-assisted soloist.
• Advanced Course - 4 days duration; it is carried out flat with personal or school equipment; gives the possibility of obtaining the VDS pilot certificate (recreational sport flight)
