The Gammatesa Mining Museum is an interesting and highly attractive reality, inserted in the broader set of attractions and proposals present in the Ligurian territory; positioned at the center of a network of itineraries of great national importance between the hiking routes of the Cinque Terre, Portofino and the important Aquarium of Genoa strong>.
The relatively recent opening of the center immediately attracted a huge and enthusiastic response from users and a turnout that made it one of the main attraction centers in the Ligurian territory.
The Museum was built in the territory of the Aveto Regional Park, the Apennine park which contains within it some of the highest peaks of this stretch of the Ligurian Apennine chain such as Monte Aiona with its 1703 and Monte Penna with the height of 1735 meters above sea level
The mining activities that have always characterized the life of this area have been completely integrated with the territory in over a century of coexistence.
