Minitalia Leonlandia Park is the first theme park built in Italy. The idea was born from the entrepreneurial spirit and foresight of the Pendezzini family who, in 1971, decided to reproduce the Italian peninsula, both in shape and landscape, inserting on a smaller scale the most important historical monuments and the architectures that are symbols of our artistic tradition.
In 1974 the Pendezzini family inaugurated Minitalia and within a few years the Park became among the first amusement parks in Italy.
In the 90s the name of the Park was changed to FantasyWorld and the mascot became Gervasio, a very nice turtle. Precisely in those years, work began on an expansion of the Park.
In 2007 Thorus Leolandia, sensing the potential of the structure, took over Minitalia and renewed everything, fully embracing the innovative concept of learning by playing and having fun.
In 2008, guided by the new ownership and new management, the Park begins to grow again under the name of Minitalia Leolandia Park, new attractions are added and the discovery routes are expanded. In the same year Minitalia Leolandia Park was awarded as "Entrepreneurial initiative of the year".
