G.A.M.

The Friends of the Mountain Group was born in the heart of Verona, whose aim is to provide a point of contact between all mountain enthusiasts with the promotion of activities in direct contact with the nature of this environment, with naturalistic and exploratory excursions and scientific research.

The fields of interest and action of the G.A.M. are distinct, and range from speleology to photography, all obviously united by the mountain as a subject:

• Speleological Expeditions,
• Commitment and proposals for the protection of the karst heritage in the province of Verona,
• Management of the cave register, also in the Verona area,
• Cadastre and active monitor on karst areas and their sources,
• Scientific research in the naturalistic field with the subject of the area covered by the Lessini Mountains and the relief of Monte Baldo,
• Study of underground waters
• Informative and cultural activities such as photographic exhibitions and conferences
• Carrying out tourist excursions and outings.

Every year the G.A.M. organizes speleology courses to bring people closer to this splendid activity that allows them to learn about the wonders of the earth.
