The territory of the Tiber River Park and the Martani Mountains, thanks to the huge concentration of natural caves, represent the best scenario for the research activity of the Todi Speleological Group.
The cavities present in the area are an interesting study sample, not only for the important presence and quantity of phenomena, but also for the wide planimetric development that characterizes them which constitutes a great attraction from a paleo-anthropological point of view .
Among the most important and interesting features of this type are certainly the Pozzi delle Piane and the Voragine del Vorgozzino, in Titinano and Scoppieto respectively.
But natural cavities are also found in Todi, an area characterized by the interesting presence of underground systems known and only partially explored, particular for their hydrological conformation not yet completely identified and capable of offering a wide margin for research.
Gruppo Speleologico today boasts more than forty years of activity with its birth in '69 from an initial group of students coming from the Classical High School, and operated for the first years of its life under the name of the Tuderte Speleological Group, a name that will accompany it until 1970 and its introduction into the ARCI group of Todi.
