The Archeo-speleological group "T.A.G." operating in the Thesi area, in Sardinia, he has a great deal of experience in the field of natural exploratory speleology, which coincided with the extraordinary discovery of the Nùrighe Cave.
Surprising fossiliferous deposit housed in a narrow karst cavity, which has brought to light a real treasure of fossil remains belonging to large vertebrates which have given rise to a joint research project with the University of Sassari and Liège and with the Provincial Superintendence for Sassari and Nuoro, in its body dedicated to Geopaleontology, with the aim of being able to identify the causes that led to the fossilization in the karst siphon.
The influence of the fossil presence has in fact focused the attention of scholars on the surface morphology that characterized the area known as Mejlogu-Logudoro and, above all, its evolution.
Among the discoveries made thanks to the work of the Groppo T.A.G. in this unique deposit, also ahuman phalanx, a sign of the presence of human life forms in the site and the only example of such a population in the sediment samples recovered.
The Archeo-speleological group "T.A.G." of Thiesi is open to new registrations, if you are interested in speleology, contact the base.
