The course is divided into a first theoretical part to be carried out online from the comfort of your home, a practical part in water less than 5 meters deep and another practical part in open water by diving into the sea at a depth of more than 10 meters.
During the online theory, which lasts approximately six hours, you will learn the basic principles of diving and the notions necessary to make your first dive. After this phase, we will immerse ourselves in the waters of Materdomini beach where you will put into practice what you have learned in theory.
Finally, our instructors will lead you step by step in diving to more than 10 meters deep. The dives in this phase last at least 30 minutes each and will allow you to acquire the necessary skills to dive at an international level and in complete autonomy.
Once all phases of the course have been completed, you will receive the Open Water Diver patent which is valid worldwide and will be visible on the international register.
All children who reach at least 10 years of age can access the Open Water Diver course (for minors, the consent of a parent or guardian is required). However, those over 45 years of age and suffering from heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes or are currently undergoing medical treatment should consult their doctor before enrolling in the course.
