Description of Excursion to Mount Mufara (3h)
Mount Mufara allows you to observe landscapes from a new and unusual view as it is located at a height of 1865 meters above sea level, being the highest peak in the Madonie Park.
The excursion will start from Piano Battaglia where you can already admire the natural elements that surround this beautiful park, walking in a forest completely surrounded by beech trees which will lead you to an area almost devoid of vegetation.
The walk will continue in the company of our guide who, during the walk, will tell you anecdotes and stories inherent to these places, making you feel part of these landscapes . Finally we will arrive at the top of Mount Mufara, which will offer incredible views of the Imera River valley and Piano Zucchi.
In total this activity will last approximately three hours and will develop overa length of approximately 3.5 kilometers with a height difference of up to 300 metres. We recommend wearing comfortable materials to carry out this experience.
