Description of The path of the Madonie firs (4h)

The centuries-old almost extinct tree of the Abies Nebrodensis has practically only 30 specimens that are found only in the Madonie park. The excursion to which you can participate will allow you to walk along a path where there are these species of trees practically extinct which, after the discovery of the last specimens, has been subjected to protection restrictions.

Walking along the path we will enter a beech forest where we will be surprised by ancient charcoal pits in disuse, buildings symbolic of an ancient trade that hiking guides will be able to describe you in the best way.

Let's give some technical details of the excursion. The same will take place for four hours with a length of about 9 kilometers with a maximum altitude of 1637 meters and with a height difference departure of about 200 meters.

To participate in this excursion, we recommend wearing comfortable materials and allowing movement such as long trousers and sneakers, as well as a sufficient quantity of water.
