Three days in the company of the trained Alpine guides of Macugnaga to learn the basics of ice climbing, an evocative practice made even more fascinating by the incredible landscapes of the Ossola area.
The hypothetical program includes:
The hypothetical program includes:
- meeting on the first day with the mountain guide, checking of the materials and ascent by cable car to the Monte Moro Pass. Afterwards, accommodation at the Oberto-Maroli refuge, lunch and, in the afternoon, the first contacts with the basic rules of this activity (technique on the glacier, knots and handling). Dinner in the refuge.
- second day dedicated to self-rescue and safety maneuvers: anchoring, belays, crevasse recovery. Lunch and dinner in the refuge.
- Third day practice with ascent to Nuovo Weisstor and return from Passo Iacchini.
