Description of Introduction to mountaineering course for kids in Macugnaga

Our introductory course to mountaineering for kids is aimed at all young high mountain enthusiasts who want to experience this particular environment with awareness.

Under the guidance of attentive and competent qualified alpine guides, the children will be able to learn the techniques for tackling the mountain safely and get to know the unique scenery made up of the splendid amphitheater of Alpe Pedriola, at the foot of Monte Rosa.

The meeting is set for Monday 23 July at 8.30 am at the departure of the chairlift in Pecetto, where the students will meet the guide to check the routine materials and undertake the ascent with the lift.
In the morning we will continue to the Zamboni-Zappa refuge.

During the week the course will address distinct specifications:

rock climbing
the basic notions of security
self-help
walking in the mountains
rope games
the notions regarding orientation.

What does the activity include

How long the activity lasts

The duration of the course is one week. From Monday 23 July to Saturday 28 July.
