Diving Center Punta Stilo

Diving Center Punta Stilo was born from the passion for the sea of its founders, Alfina and Mario Tassone, and from their desire to create a point of reference for diving lovers who are committed to organisation, promotion and activation of initiatives and events relating to this sport.

The commitment of Diving Center Punta Stilo ranges across different sectors: sporting, recreational and cultural, with particular attention to teaching and training in the field of underwater activities, swimming, lifesaving, first aid and the protection and defense of the marine environment; all with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of an awareness of respect for the sea, through the valorisation and promotion of the riches that the seabed of the Ionian Sea hides.

The proposals of Diving Center Punta Stilo range from educational and training courses, with school courses, to recreational diving of all levels.

As regards the COURSES, the diving center offers enthusiasts the opportunity to rely on trained and competent instructors, to make their first contact with the practice of freediving or self-contained breathing A. R. A., with routes specifically designed for neophytes or novice divers who have not yet been certified; up to welcoming already experienced divers engaged in their technical progression with the Specialist or Technical Courses.

Among the many activities that make up the carnet of proposals of Diving Center Punta Stilo, a role of primary importance and interest is that of the UNDERWATER EXCURSIONS organized along itineraries that are unique in the world. The center has developed a diving program that includes the most interesting and surprising points of the Calabria region.

The proposals will surprise even the most experienced divers:

• Expeditions on new war wrecks - among the suggestions of the wrecks of the Italian navy and air force, a legacy of the Great Air and Naval Battle of Punta Stilo.
• Expeditions in search of Red Coral - an unforgettable and very strong emotion for the Trimix diver who crosses the threshold of -40 meters and again when, during the dive , at a depth of -55m, they will be able to glimpse, illuminated by torches, "The Red Coral Polyps",
• Photosub - a perfect way to experience diving in a group but in a totally personal way, to discover the differences in style and taste that make us unique,
• Videosub - activity for which valid technical knowledge and great imagination and artistic sensitivity are required that can conveygreat emotions also for the spectator.
