SDS Scientific Diving School

SDS Scientific Diving School is the scientific and recreational diving school active in Bologna.

SDS Scientific Diving School gives you the opportunity to follow a dual path through diving training: one recreational and the other scientific.

This association is in fact engaged in different marine research projects in the scientific field and makes use of a highly trained staff that unites instructors and researchers with constant collaborations with the University of Bologna and the major universities around the world.

The SDS instructors are also members of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) therefore, in addition to the European standards rules of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), they also refer to the rules of the first, reference of the scientific community worldwide.

At SDS Scientific Diving School in Bologna you will find all levels of recreational courses that will guide you from the first experiences in underwater breathing, up to professional levels, training for instructors. As for the scientific aspect, however, you will be able to access different specialized courses, aimed at the International Scientific Diver Patent or diving techniques laboratories for biological detection in collaboration with the University of Bologna.
