Sud-Est Diving

Sud-Est Diving was born, following a few years of incubation, with this name in Otranto in 1988, on the thrust of two characters particularly dear to the Otranto navy: Franco Muoio (alias "Brindisino" ) diver of the port, coral reef but above all profound connoisseur of these sea beds and friend of all those who love the sea and Roberto Vetruccio (alias "Robertino") owner of the most important nautical shop in the town and a great lover of fishing and the sea, his in fact it is the choice of the name Sud-Est Diving and still his logo that distinguishes the diving. Affiliated to the local section of the Italian Naval League, first among the maritime institutions of Otranto, he remained linked to this body for about three years under the guidance of Piero Scaffidi and Roberto Marino.

Today Sud-Est Diving is owned by DiveGest s.r.l. and has multiplied its presence in the offices of Otranto, Brindisi and also boasts a branch office in Safaga on the Red Sea (Egypt).

A small company made up of small numbers but of great attention, professionalism and infinite experience. The diving didactic director remained M.I.D.C. Piero Scaffidi, “Lu Pieru”, is the soul and technical guide of the diving center even after the change of ownership and whose presence in the structure during the busiest period, from June to September, is a constant certainty. The team then consists of a complete team of professionals: Giuseppe Mastronuzzi - Instructor C.M.A.S. 2 stars, Antonio Bianco - C.M.A.S. 2 stars, Attilio Terrevoli - C.M.A.S. 1 star, Raffaele Mariani - C.M.A.S. 1 star, Stefano Giorgino - Assistant Instructor and Hyperbaric Doctor, Enrico Avantaggiato - Assistant Instructor, Rino Teta - Assistant Instructor, Piervalerio Vignola - Assistant Instructor, Tina De Santis “The Boss”.

All the activities are carried out in the name of respect, knowledge and love for the sea, as well as in compliance with the rules to guarantee the absolute safety of the students, as a prerogative of the C.M.A.S. and NAUI.
