The Andrea Pigonati Sailing Centre, based in Brindisi, uses only qualified instructors to allow you to try your hand at the sport of sailing in total safety.
The proposed educational activities are:
- Basic Course - fundamentals of the art of sailing (nomenclature, knots, use of the rudder, balance on the boat, pace, tack, jibe, safety at sea)
- Advanced course - achievement of autonomy in the management of a dinghy (fine adjustments, contribution of the individual sails to the propulsion and balance of the boat, the best beat, reduction of sails, arrival and departure from the buoy, departure and arrivals from the quay , maneuvers in restricted waters, safety paces, cape grabbing and man overboard recovery)
- "Tommaso Lopalco" sea school - introduction to coastal cruising (operation of a small cabin cruiser, change of jib, reduction of sail, use of the spinnaker, choice of anchoring, maneuvers at anchor, safety, on-board equipment, notes on correspondence, notes on meteorology, auxiliary engine, choice of crew)
- Coastal navigation - one week course on a cruise
