After a year full of commitments and stress spent in the city, it's finally time to go on a skiing holiday, with your friends or family. It's also a great opportunity to learn a new sport or practice, so that you don't get bored and stay at home locked up between four walls.
1. There are ski resorts to suit all tastes
Whether you are an excellent skier or a beginner, in Italy there are many possibilities to improve or learn to ski at a ski resort. From Sicily to Trentino, wherever you are in Italy, a few kilometres from your home you will find ski slope that suits your needs. Especially expert skiers who want to challenge themselves, at least once in their life they have to equip themselves with skis and go down one of the most famous slopes in Europe, in the middle of nowhere, there is the hidden valley where, accompanied by some breath-taking views, you can enjoy 8 km of pure skiing.
If you are just passionate about the idea skiing and have decided to try and learn, there are ski facilities suitable only for beginners, families and ski weeks.
2. Skiing week
A ski resort has all the comforts to spend a so famous "white week" between sports, snow and relaxation. In the centre of Italy, for example, there are ski facilities with a variety of slopes for all levels of difficulty, snow parks, ski lifts, including chairlifts and indoor ski treadmills, ski schools for adults and children and, of course, an infinite number of refuges, where you can spend the night or relax, after a descent, in the spa area, with the whole family.
3. A ski lesson for the whole family
Spend a day with the whole family in the Dolomites to learn how to ski or to improve your skiing techniques, there are ski schools for everyone, some are specialized only in teaching children, others only for adults from 15 to 99 years old. Everyone can learn to ski. In every ski resort you will find ski slopes where courses and lessons are offered and can be adapted to everyone, with a group of friends or alone to meet people with the same passion for winter sports as you.
4. Train your body and mind
There is always time to learn a new sport, especially in the snow, at the ski lifts that stay open more or less from Easter to Christmas. It is the right opportunity to test your sports skills while you train your mind and body and get rid of all the stress and tension accumulated during the year, since to do any sport on the snow you need maximum concentration to avoid falling or getting hurt, so your only concern will be to maintain your position or enjoy the wind that blows through the Dolomites and caresses your face.
5. Face your fears
When you decide to take up a snow sport, especially during adulthood, anxieties and fears begin to make their way into your head: fear of losing control, running over someone or not being up to it, missing an important opportunity to train and make new acquaintances… In most ski resorts you will find ski instructors who are used and familiar with your anxieties and will immediately put you at ease, while you enjoy the breath-taking views of the white covered mountains from the chairlift.
