The Parachuting School of Ferrara , was founded in 1972, boasts many years of uninterrupted activity spent in the solid and careful preparation of future paratroopers.

Guided in training at a competitive level in the different specialties ( Style , Precision , Relative Work , Canopy , Skysurf , Free Style , Vertical Relative Work and Freefly ), the students are followed until the achievement of the Ministerial License. Each flight is performed using a Cessna206 aircraft, which reaches a launch altitude of between 3,000 and 4,500 meters.

The jumps are generally concentrated on holidays and during the weekend, in the hours of light, from 8.00 until sunset.

The center offers courses and jumps for all levels:

• Tandem . For the total safety with which it is carried out, the tandem jump is suitable for beginners. After a quick theoretical introduction, you will board the plane. Once on board the helicopter, you will be equipped with the necessary equipment and harnessed to an instructor. Once you reach a height of approximately 3000 meters , you will carry out the launch. You will fall in free fall up to an altitude of 1400 meters above the ground at a speed of 200 km / h. Only at this point, the teacher will open his parachute and you will start landing. For the adrenaline of the descent, you will replace the marvel of the view of Ferrara from above.

• Course with bridle rope . This is a traditional method, made with self-opening parachute. The course has a total duration of two weeks; it consists of eight theoretical lessons of basic and practical preparation on the ground, followed by the first jumps at an altitude of 1,200 meters high.

During this first phase, the staff and instructors follow the paratrooper via radio, supporting him with the necessary directions until they lead him to landing.

The complete path includes 8 launches, which lead the student, following an appropriate evaluation by the instructor, to carry out the first launches independently. At the end of the course and with the appropriate tests, the aspiring skydiver will be able to obtain the license.
