In north-eastern Italy, along the border between Trentino and Austria, lies the Val di Fassa , an area surrounded by the most important peaks of the Dolomites .

In this earthly paradise lies our Rifugio Lusia , which takes its name from Alpe Lusia located between Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme.
The refuge also has a strong historical and cultural value in the Ladinia region: it was born in the distant 1800s welcoming not only tourists but also geology and geography scholars who came from other regions of northern Italy and Austria through the Brenner Pass.
In winter the valley turns white making the slopes of the Moena mountains and Bellamonte perfect for skiing: more than 30 km of slopes are just waiting to be covered at full speed . The different configurations of the mountain slopes that surround our refuge allow anyone to practice this sport: in fact, we have black runs for the bravest and most expert, red, blue and orange runs.
A novelty in our center is the snowmobile excursion, guided by one of our operators, who will take you to admire the lights of the sunset reflecting on the soft snow. It is a unique and unrepeatable experience to experience Val di Fassa from another perspective, and allows everyone to experience the adrenaline rush of descending the slopes of the Dolomites at full speed.
For those who prefer to walk it is possible to choose one of the numerous paths that pass through the Panevaggio Natural Park and which will make you admire the landscape with more tranquility.
In summer, when instead the green and warm colors dominate, the area becomes a favorite destination for those who want to admire specimens of protected flora and fauna that here can grow in harmony far from urban centers.
Summer is also the perfect season to explore the valley by MTB .
The refuge also represents a perfect alternative for lovers of food and wine: here you can taste the main dishes of the typical Ladin cuisine: the recipes on our menu come from ancient dishes of the peasant tradition revisited inmodern key to make them even tastier and tastier.
