Circolo Nautico Alba Adriatica is a sports association present for several years in the international sailing scene, we have been embarking on the enchantment, the beauty, the rarity of a sunrise that illuminates the wonders of nature for years. And so, where the green and sunny hills, in a slow and sinuous slide into the sea, rest on the silvery sands of "the wild Adriatic which is as green as the pastures of the mountains" our Nautical Club was born. We consider ourselves a safe haven for those who, fleeing from the storms of everyday life, safe and adventurous, on driftwood or anything else that floats, set sail from here.

Circolo Nautico Alba Adriatica Vela has years of experience in teaching sailing and can't wait for you to join us. We offer you different courses depending on your needs and level of preparation. Choose the one that's right for you among our lessons held by federal instructors.

You will find the path suitable for the level you want to reach, among:

• Basic sailing course - covers the basic rules of sailing, teaching the student all the phases of sailing the vessel, from departure to disembarkation. The practical exercises of the course explore all the gaits aboard the single Optimist sail and with the double FJ and Vourien sails, the first aimed at younger people and the second at adults. The preparatory lessons take place in theoretical and practical parts for a total of approximately four hours at each meeting. At an educational level, distinct topics useful during navigation are addressed, such as safety regulations and probable weather conditions. The student will be guided in learning the specific nomenclature and prepared regarding the distinct maneuvers and their choice. The practical phase deals with putting into practice what has been learned and allowing the student to try his hand at the manoeuvres, as well as involving him in aquatic exercises and all the phases useful for his autonomous navigation.

• Offshore sailing course - Organized with slop boats, these courses also consist of two parts, one theoretical and the other training, and provides a highly practical system of daily boat trips during the which the student will revisit the themes of the first course by delving into the fundamental techniques of offshore navigation, for example the use of the spinnaker and motor-mooring maneuvers. The theoretical part will also touch on the fundamental aspects of the use of nautical charts and on-board instruments,

• Advanced sailing courses on dinghies - Course intended for those who need in-depth training regarding sailing on dinghies. The course has as a consequence the development of physical training skills, essential for dealing with this type of navigation, and a notable help in specialization and preparation in the sailing field. The practice acquired in dinghy sailing is an essential prerequisite for being able to compete with large boats.

Circolo Nautico Alba Adriatica Windsurf organizes windsurfing courses in the summer months which allow students to learn the basic elements necessary for them to be able to sail independently.

The courses directed by F.I.V. instructors are divided into practical and theoretical lessons, with use of the simulator on land, and exercises at sea under the continuous guidance of instructors, in the morning or afternoon. The educational objectives that we set ourselves and want our windsurfers to achieve thanks to our courses are:

• Ability to apply wind knowledge and apply appropriate navigation techniques,
• Ability to arm and disarm navigation equipment, execution of the main nodes,
• Navigate while maintaining the intended route and know how to sustain all speeds.
• tack and jibe with the board,
• Acquire autonomy in the main maneuvers
• maintain appropriate safety standards in and out of the water.
