Wpoint was born in 1999 thanks to the passion and desire to create a pro shop specialized in surfing, snow, skate, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding and skiing in an area that is still very fertile and full of potential such as that of the province of Catania.

The Wpoint Kitesurf courses include 4 lessons which, depending on the wind conditions and the skills demonstrated by the student, may however vary.

The rental of the table and wings is included in the course registration price. This type of course is the true approach to the practice of kitesurfing and the teaching program is aimed at making the student independent, including theoretical lessons on land and notions on safety in the water, basic gaits, the optimal position and of course the correct assembly of the equipment.

We continue with practical lessons in the water to learn navigation speeds and the first notions of jibing.

At the end of the course the student will be able to face light winds, leaving and returning to the beach independently. The teaching method adopted for this course is that of the Italian Kitesurf Federation.

The courses are organized every day of the week in any weather. Before the start of the courses, the starting level of each student is tested and on the basis of this test the program and the group in which to include them are established.

In the courses organized by Wpoint Windsurf the teaching programs are aimed at making the student independent, mixing theoretical lessons on land (integrated with lessons on safety in the water, basic gaits, optimal position and of course the correct assembly of the equipment) and practical lessons in the water (to learn the tack, the sailing pace and the first notions of the jibe).

At the end of the course the student will be able to leave and return to the beach independently facing light winds.

The teaching method adopted for carrying out this course is that of the Italian Sailing Federation.

Before the start of the courses, the starting level of each student is tested and on the basis of this test the program and the group in which the student will be placed are established.

During the course, any improvement of the student is also monitored so that, following the results achieved, he/she can be moved to a higher level course.

Wpoint Wakeboard offers its customers the following services:

• Providing beginners with equipment for the first tests, skis and wakeboards
• Video shooting on request

The learning methodology is divided into 3 phases:

• Introduction - introduction to the chosen discipline
• Sport - constant practice of discipline
• Competition - selection for races and sporting competitions

The lessons aim at knowledge of safety regulations, floating, starting from the bar, the skier's position, starting from the bar with a slingbar, the correct use of materials, starting in the water with a rope, crossing the wave, learning skier boat signals.

On a theoretical level, videos are displayed and tests are carried out on land and in the gym, as well as tests in water to acquire technical fundamentals.

The objectives of the course are:

• Development and increase in the capabilities of the neuro-motor system
• Increased strength and joint mobility
• Increased coordination skills

During the lessons, programs aimed at:

The theoretical part of the course consists of watching videos and testing physical activities related to water skiing on land and in the gym; on a practical level, however, water tests are carried out to acquire the technical foundations.
