Cicogne e Anatidi Centro Association is a center involved since the year of its formation, in 1985, in the important attempt to reintroduce the White Stork variety, extinct from our territories since the 18th century.
The important and assiduous collaboration between LIPU, the Italian Bird Protection League, and the passionate ornithologist Bruno Vaschetti gave life to this project and gave the first results with the "Stork Project" and the "Anatidae" project which deals with of the protection of ducks, geese and rarities of swans which are in a critical state of conservation of the species.
Since 1995, the Center has developed a series of interventions aimed at restoring wetlands, an ideal habitat for migratory birds to stop over, with particular attention to waders, waders usually installed in marshes.
The center has also used 15 hectares to make available to the birds a protected and quiet area in which they can find valid support and ideal conditions for stopping during migratory movements.
