Bioparco di Sicilia

The Bioparco di Sicilia is committed to offering a valid contribution to the conservation of animal species at risk and aims to implement research and scientific study regarding them, organizing activities in 'educational-cultural field.

In addition to the research projects that the center deals with, Bioparco is committed to promoting the reproduction and repopulation of different species, as well as contributing to the educational enrichment of its users.

Visitor education is, in fact, at the top of the centre's objectives which aims to inspire the public to discover a new way of engaging with nature. An area in which zoos, with their ability to directly experience nature, can truly represent a different horizon.

This commitment is channeled by the Bioparco into a series of essential activities and proposals such as:

• constant information for visitors in the biological and environmental fields,
• the stimulation of awareness of the close interconnections present between the life of man and that of the animal world.
• raise the visitor's awareness of the limits to their behavior which can, if exceeded, interfere with the world and its balance.
