The Zoological Garden of Pistoia, founded in 1970, today extends over 7 hectares and is home to 600 animals including mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians.
Brown bears, lynxes, wolves, tigers and lions are housed in exhibits with natural settings, windows open onto the animal world to get to know their characteristics and conservation problems up close.
A visit to the zoo is an opportunity to meet the animals, get to know them and learn how to protect them. Educational courses and workshops are dedicated to schools and non-school groups.
Two playgrounds, large spaces for picnics and refreshment services (self service and restaurant) allow visitors to organize the day according to their needs.
Open every day of the year it is a point of reference for those who want to take a break from the daily frenzy and get to know the wonderful natural world.
