Description of Parco Faunistico La Torbiera

The La Torbiera wildlife park is located in the Agrate Conturbia area, in an area between the vast Po Valley and the foothills of the Pre-Alps.

The numerous, small, lake basins that characterize the area, called peat bog due to the particular "peat" conformation, the accumulation of plant residues on the lake bottom which makes the lake increasingly shallower, contribute to maintaining the mild climate and humid which characterizes it.

This protected natural habitat is the perfect location for its characteristics for migratory specimens, which find their perfect resting place here, but it is also perfect for sedentary species which, thanks to the characteristics of the region, find living conditions that facilitate their settlement and reproduction.

The Wildlife Park is located right here, in a stretch of peat bog not manipulated by human intervention, and includes a path open to the public every day from April to September, and with limited access on Saturdays and holidays in the months of March, October and November . The park is closed in winter.

The protected area extends for a total of 40 hectares, part of which is not open to the public because it is a wildlife and plant refuge. The forest is populated with roe deer, foxes and species specific to the woodland habitat, while in the swampier parts, different types of reptiles are found.

Review translated from Italian

The only thing I can say is very poorly cared for, too many gaabbie now fallen to pieces and uninhabited, the ANIMALS have too little space .... spambra all the park in decay .... and, especially the tigers, are very nervous ... you see him far a mile suffering in there! and that poor wild cat how do you let him shut up in that hole? In general FOR ME is to CLOSE, even for the sake of the animals .... too lascaiot to go!
