Parco Faunistico Valcorba

The Valcorba Wildlife Park is the beautiful zoo generated from the structures of the previous zoo known as the Monte Lonzina Zoo.

The previous director initiated the profound transformation of the previous zoo, a structure already underway, in order to guarantee the specimens housed a more spacious and welcoming environment.

1990 was the key year for the start of the park's transformation works, with new stables and reforestation among other interventions.

The restyling of the park lasted 10 years of constant commitment and intense work which prepared the structure for its grand opening in the year 2000.

At the Valcorba Wildlife Park the classic definition of "zoo" has been supplanted. The concept of "animal on display" is not part of the character of our structure, which is why we have created a structure with a different philosophy, in which the fundamental aim is to educate the public who, through our paths, can be surprised but above all learn and comes into contact with the fundamental precepts of respect for nature.

To achieve its mission, the Park organises guided tours, workshops and many other knowledge activities, which bring visiting children and adults to discover and observe animals and raise awareness of the problems of natural conservation.

Our main objective is to leave the visitor, upon leaving the park, with the feeling of having discovered more about the animal world, but above all the awareness and full awareness of the fragility that threatens the future of these specimens , closely connected with the rules of "good manners" and the small precautions that we can maintain on a daily basis.
