The 'Association of Roman Speleologists was founded in the late eighties by the expert nucleus from the previous historical Roman Speleological Association and by a group of new enthusiasts of this practice.

The initial formation of members, therefore, includes a varied group of professionals from the various associations and clubs present in the area with whom a path of sharing intentions and an active work of exploration between the regions of Lazio, Campania and Molise.

The activities of the group's speleologists are not limited only to the Italian territory, however, abroad Roman Speleologists Association carries out some important expeditions, such as that of Chiapas in Mexico.
