In reality, the Pantheon, built between 27 and 25 BC, is dedicated to all the divinities and its construction was announced at the behest of Marco Vipsanio Agrippa in honor of Augustus.

To make its architecture so majestic, the numerous Corinthian columns and the coffered dome stand out towards the sky, for a total height of 43.30 metres.

The dome ends with a circular opening, from which light enters at midday, onto the axis of the door, making the Pantheon a true astronomical clock.
