Inserted in the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO since 1980, Nero's Villa was built in 64 AD after the great fire that devastated the city of Rome.

The Domus Area was never completely completed, and after the death of the emperor it suffered various lootings, thefts and was set on fire. However, the structure continues to resist to the present day thanks to the great ingenuity of the ancient Roman architects.
