The island under the sea is a Diving Center founded in 2007 from the enthusiasm of a group of friends united by their love for the sea and diving.
We are located inside the "Celori Mare" bathing establishment and our objectives are to protect, respect and make known the marine treasures by promoting underwater sporting and archaeological activities and the protection of the beaches and coast (in collaboration with the local institutions).
We offer our customers comfort and services to guarantee pleasant days of relaxation and great emotions, thanks to our guided dives.
We have a well-stocked diving equipment rental facility, with a park of 50 spools, wetsuits, BCDs, regulators, fins and masks, toilets, hot showers and changing rooms.
The name of our Diving Center originates from the characteristic of the Marine Protected Area "Secche di Tor Paterno", an island entirely submerged by the sea!
The maximum depth is approximately 60 meters while the top of the mountain reaches 18 m below sea level.
The proximity of the Tiber delta plays a fundamental role in the ecosystem of the area and causes a very large number of animal and plant species to congregate in the area (a thick prairie of Posidonia oceanica, colonies of coelenterates, the red Gorgonian , the Alcionari, the Grouper, the Moray Eel, the Conger and the Anglerfish, the Sea Bass, the Mullet, the Occhiata, the Sarago, the Sea Eagles and, in some seasons, even dolphins).
