The
Walking Center Italy Association organizes introductory lessons and courses to learn Nordic Walking and outings to practice this sport at the seaside, in the mountains and in city parks.
To correctly learn the Nordic Walking technique it is essential to rely on expert instructors. The instructors of the Walking Center Italy are qualified by the Italian Nordic Walking School and internationally recognized by the International Pole About Association of Marko Kantaneva (the inventor of Nordic Walking).
The courses are structured in such a way as to make you learn the Nordic Walking technique thanks to a teaching methodology divided into 5 phases and are presented in various ways in order to meet the availability of time of each individual person:
- Basic Nordic Walking Course - duration of about 4 hours of lessons (one morning); aspects related to correct body posture, motor coordination, spinal mobilization, foot functionality and muscle toning are taken care of.
- Nordic Walking technique improvement course - reserved for those who have already attended a basic or advanced course and want to perfect the Nordic Walking technique in order to make the most of all its benefits; duration of about 2h 1/2; review of the complete technique of the "5 Phases" followed by an in-depth study of the main aspects of the movement that can allow optimal acquisition through specific exercises; notions on training principles and the use of the heart rate monitor.
- Personalized Nordic Walking courses - for those who want to learn Nordic Walking privately with the personalized assistance of an instructor or for small groups who want to attend a course in place, dates and times other than those provided for the traditional course ; minimum duration of one or two trips (with the possibility of further training sessions to be agreed directly with the interested parties).
Walking Center Italy makes Nordic Walking poles available to all students. To participate in the activities of the Association, an annual membership fee is required which entitles you to insurance coverage against accidents and to agreements with various shops in Rome.
