Cortina Cube takes care of the efficiency of the systems, the quality of the snow and the organization of the slopes in the Faloria-Cristallo ski area, one of the most popular ski areas in the Dolomites.
We have a cutting-edge programmed snow system that guarantees perfect condition of the slopes from November to April. The connection point between the Monte Faloria and Cristallo slopes is Rio Gere (1698 m), a town about 6 km from Cortina which has a free ski bus service, ample parking and a restaurant serving typical cuisine.
We provide you with some more details about our slopes:
- Skiarea Faloria - the Faloria cable car takes you in just a few minutes from the center of Cortina to an altitude of 2134 meters where 10 km of slopes, snow parks, two refuges and two ski bars await you; the Faloria slopes can also be reached from Rio Gere with the "Pian Bigontina - Costa Faloria" four-seater chairlift; our slopes offer different degrees of difficulty and breathtaking views.
- Skiarea Cristallo-Mietres - jagged peaks and steep slopes to cover with snowboard, mountaineering skis or snowshoes; a new four-seater lift takes you from Rio Gere to Son Forca, where the Cristallo ski slopes start (which saw the birth of Alberto Tomba's talent); at the foot of Monte Cristallo there are the 5 Mietres slopes of easy and medium difficulty (perfect for adults and children); the Valgrande chairlift goes up towards Forcella Staunies and the more experienced will be able to climb up to 3000 meters to tackle the famous black slope "Canalone Staunies" (the steepest slope in the Dolomites!); the Mietres chairlifts leave from Guargnè and are served by a free ski bus service; Baby ski lift for beginners, with children's playground and toboggan run; timing system available to Ski Club; grill bar, snack bar, sun and a magnificent view of the Cortina d'Ampezzo valley!
