A.S.D. Jacques Cousteau

The Jacques Cousteau Amateur Sports Association is a young association founded in 2013 by diving and marine environment professionals, determined to promote knowledge of the marine environment and the riches of the Sicilian coast.

The commitment of the ASD is aimed at different aspects of the sports, scientific and excursion fields, and is driven by the great love for the sea and for the land of its founders.

The staff composed of marine biologists , underwater guides and land, instructors and underwater technicians takes care of organizing and managing all activities, including:

• sports proposals of underwater type or of naturalistic interest ,
• management of cultural promotional events ,
• creation and development of eco-sustainability projects,
• commitment to the enhancement and promotion of the region and province of Caltanissetta.

The group involves its associates in all activities as well as forging collaborations with associations and local authorities in the public or private sector, to set up a task force that can integrate its knowledge and direct it towards the same objectives.

The activities of A.S.D. Jacques Cousteau include:

• Underwater baptism,
• Underwater training courses held by qualified CMAS instructors,
• Diving in the most surprising marine protected areas of the region, accompanied by a diving guide,
• projects aimed at groups of all ages of education in respect and knowledge of the marine habitat and its protection,
• environmental laboratories,
• guided tours.

A.S.D. Jacques Cousteau is an association in constant evolution and growth: become part of the group and actively participate in all the planned projects.

The A.S.D. Jacques Cousteau has diving among the main activities proposed by his staff made up entirely of professionals and scholars of the marine environment.

The team boasts the presence of great professionals including diving instructors, diving and land guides, marine biologists, who provide the association's sporting and cultural proposals with a wide-ranging value.

Among the proposals of ASD Jacques Cousteau, members will be able to participate in:

• Baptisms of the sea , to experience the first important sensation of breath in the water and be enchanted by the underwater view,
• diving courses of all CMAS levels, from exercises in the pool to professional certificates,
• Guided dives and excursions to diving spots inside the protected marine areas of the island.

The dive will not be complicated because the association's staff will help you in all phases.

There will also be many events based on education in diving culture and the protection of this environment.

Registrations open in March for First Level Surf Courses organized by the Jacques Cousteau sports association.

The lessons will be held in the Agrigento area , taking advantage of the splendid spot made up of the San Leone area, here the association's prepared surf instructors will accompany our members along all the stages foreseen by the course, from the first contact to the experiences in the water.

Surfing in these seas is truly exciting and formidable, with the wind blowing and the waves that any surfer will appreciate.

But who is at the first level should not be scared, because they are perfectly tame waves!

In addition, the preparation before entering the sea will be tough! Get ready!

The Asd Jacques Cousteau staff will be available to show you all the details of the planned route and to provide you with all the information regarding the subscription of the membership card that will allow you to take an active part in all the proposed activities.
