Pangea Italia Rafting has been operating in Valnerina , specifically in Scheggino, on the Nera river for over 20 years, offering Rafting , canoeing and canyoning.

In 1998 Roberto De Ascentiis decided to create a company to enjoy the landscape of Umbria through outdoor and eco-friendly activities.

Sport, culture and environment coexist together to create a complete experience for the whole family. In fact, children from 3 years onwards are accepted. For the little ones there are even discounts!

All activities start in Scheggino where a certified staff explains through a briefing the protection of the territory, both of the river and of the stream .

The guides have the instructor's license from the Italian Federation of Rafting , the BLSD (Basic Life Support Defibrillation) certificate, the competitive fitness certificate and the river rescue course.

Suitable equipment is provided which consists of a wetsuit and neoprene shoes, water jacket, life jacket and helmet. There are changing rooms for everyone.

Environmental protection is so important for the center because it is part of the F.I.RAFT (Italian Federation of Rafting ), being associated with CONI, and with C.S.E.N. (National Educational Sports Center).

The company has a relaxation area with tables, barbecue and beer garden. In this place every fourth Sunday of the month there are stands of the La quarta di Scheggino market.

If you try to Rafting in Umbria you will have your opportunity with Pangea Italia Rafting which organizes rafting descents in the of Valnerina, on the Nera river. These outdoor activities are totally educational and involve the whole family, even children from the age of three.

You must bring only a swimsuit and a towel because all the necessary equipment will be provided to you at the place including jacket, wetsuit, neoprene shoes, life jacket and helmet. Valuables will be kept in the secretariat.

It starts from Scheggino and you can choose two sections, one classic and one more adventurous.

The classic route offers two views, one starting from the Abbey of Santi Felice e Mauro and ending up to Scheggino and one second that starts from our rafting center up to the ancient village of Ceselli.

You will see that it will be 2 hours full of adrenaline, the first 40 minutes of which will be used by the guides for the briefing in which you will discover the rules to be respected to make this experience safe and fun for all participants, after which you will make a descent exceptional of 5 km.

The adventure course is the same and has the same level of difficulty, for everyone, for a total duration of 3 hours.

It starts with the explanation of the general rules and continues for 2 hours and 30 minutes with an experience of 10 km, in which you can visit the Abbey of Saints Felix and Mauro of the Syrian monks and get to know depth the Vallo di Nera.

Each descent requires the participation of at least 2 people. If you are alone, you will be joined in a group. The little ones must have the company of an adult. Schools and teachers can also participate, the idea is to learn from the environment around us.

In addition, it is a great activity to have a bachelor / bachelorette party and end the day with friends by organizing a BBQ and always drinking a cold beer.

Pangea Italia Rafting offers you the perfect opportunity to experience what it means to go canoeing. From April to October you can get to know the Nera di Valnerina river in Umbria , developing an individual relationship with nature.

Boarding takes place at Castel S. Felice in Scheggino , from this point on you will begin the discovery of the Vallo del Fiume Nera, enjoying the vegetation and the purest crystalline water of Umbria and the ancient village of Ceselli, but first you will have to choose between two types of stretch, one classic and one of adventure.

The classic section has a duration of 3 hours which starts with an in-depth explanation of the general rules by the professionals of the staff and continues with a wonderful descent of 5 km.

The other stretch has the same duration but gives you the opportunity to have a more extreme relationship with the Black River because you will descend for a length of 10 km between the river's waters and its luxuriant vegetation.

There is no need for experience because the difficulty is minimal, everyone can be part of our team.

The guides will explain how a canoe works and all its peculiarities.

The only requirement is to be 14 years old, to bring a towel, a swimsuit and not to forget the mask!

Helmet, wetsuit and neoprene boots, water jacket and life jacket will be provided by the center to ensure maximum fun and safety for everyone

Canyoning in Umbria is possible! Get closer to Scheggino and be part of the Pangea Italia Rafting team, a center that offers you the opportunity to take a short trek followed by a path in the stream.

On foot or with a double rope, you will be in contact with stones dug by the water and real natural slides that make the gorge of Valnerina one of the most wonderful places in Italy .

Choose between various height options, according to your tastes and your level of experience in the world of canyoning , considering that the departure is always made from the canyoning center of Scheggino .

The first stretch is that of Roccagelli which consists of a short 3-hour route that guarantees an excellent opportunity to have fun for everyone since it does not require a particular experience.

The second section is that of Casco or Prodo consists of a longer route, 5 hours, created for more adventurous and more experienced people.

The Canyoning activities are developed by a certified staff who will start the experience with a briefing on river techniques and will continue at your disposal throughout the day to help you, support you and make you live moments in the open air without comparison.

You will always be safe, all the necessary equipment is provided by the company to all participants, including a wetsuit, water jacket, boots, life jacket, helmet and ropes.

To experience this canyoning adventure in the province of Perugia you need a minimum of 4 participants aged 14 and over.
