The sources of the Piave flow through wooded landscapes, including the Bosco di Cretta, a scenario of tall trees that seem to have come out of a fairy tale and that you can discover during this excursion 2 and a half hours with snowshoes.We invite you to come with us to explore this mountainous area of Friuli Venezia Giulia with its incomparable charm that will leave you speechless. We will cross the area until we reach Cima Sappada , a mountain of 1292 meters above sea level which is part of the Carnic Alps.
The idea is to meet at Borgata Bach , at the information point, where one of our specialists will be waiting for you to start the adventure. Before starting, we check the equipment necessary for the experience. You will have to bring your snowshoes and your poles or rent them in our center for an additional price of 8 euros. The important thing is to be prepared for maximum enjoyment.
Afterwards, the general rules of this wonderful sport will be explained to you in Italian, French or Slovenian. Finally, we will do the real forest walk. This snowshoe hike is perfect for all family members aged 12 and up, as it's not difficult at all. You will find that the area is easily accessible.
Along the way we will make stops to appreciate the surrounding mountain ranges and to show you the footprints of the animals that live in this area, as the richness of the fauna is impressive.
We work from late December to March, so pick your day and start the best night adventure of your life. You will be in the company of the stars!
