Come and discover the wonderful Villa Medici, in the Capital!

We are waiting for you in Rome, where this splendid architectural complex stands, whose foundation is due to Fernando I de Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany.

The works were carried out by Bartolomeo Ammannati: the large open-air museum is due to the taste of the time, consisting of the statues and bas-reliefs that we find on the facade and in front of the villa.

The gardens are reminiscent of the botanical gardens of Pisaand Florence, rich inpines, cypresses and oaks but also in rare plants and, inside the building, we find the famous < em>antiquarium dedicated to the most valuable pieces.

Today it is the official headquarters of the French Academy in Rome.

Villa Medici houses important collections: from the collection of Fernando de Medici to works and documents accumulated by the various directors of the French Academy in Rome since its inception in 1666.

You will have the opportunity to carry out individual visits, guided group visits, visits for children and participate in numerous educational activities .
