Casale le Crete trekking organizes walks and excursion trips in the province of L'Aquila and throughout the Mediterranean basin.

With departure and arrival base from the farmhouse, located in the Tagliacozzo area, Casale le Crete has activated the Asini in Cammino project to offer you many opportunities for trekking and excursions in direct contact with nature.

We are two hiking and environmental guides with very long experience and, in addition to the proposal of trekking with a guide , we offer a special formula: autonomous trekking with donkeys.

The first half day is dedicated to training , Luca and Fabiana will give you a course on donkey riding. You will be provided with everything you need: maps, road books, suffices, bags, equipment and you can leave for an unforgettable walking experience.

The donkeys will carry your backpacks and will be fun and loving travel companions.

Our territory allows you to choose between three different types of itineraries:

• The way of the brigands : from village to village, between Lazio and Abruzzo, Val de Varri and Valle del Salto, you can always sleep and eat leaning on structures (farmhouses, but also private houses ). It is a path with few gradients, of about 5 hours of easy walking per day, perfect for those who want to start or have small children and can extend from 5 to 7 days of walking.
• Monte Velino and Lago della Duchessa : there are routes that can range from 4 to 10 days of walking.
• Monti Simbruini and Santuario della Santissima Trinità , between Abruzzo and Lazio, you can move around in a tent and it is the perfect solution for the more adventurous; it is reserved for those who have already made one of the two previous trips.
