Free Ride Abruzzo invites you to discover a new discipline: Bouldering, or Soft Climbing, a type of "soft" climbing, which is inspired by the principles of roped climbing, but it is practiced on gentler slopes, and therefore can be done by anyone.

Due to its characteristics it is in fact a sport accessible to everyone, even children and those over 60. No particular knowledge is needed, just wear a good pair of trekking shoes, bring a bottle of water and, above all, a great desire to have fun and spend a day in the open air!

Come and try soft climbing with us, the mountains of the Gran Sasso National Park and the Laga Mountains are waiting for you to show you the wonder of a panorama that has remained intact over the centuries, rocks, valleys and the Maiella will seem even more beautiful from the top of your climb!

Free Ride Abruzzo offers the possibility of carrying out fun cycling excursions in the province of L'Aquila at all levels.

Those who wish will be able to choose from the different options available to our customers:

• Bike rental, to travel the paths of the Gran Sasso Park in complete autonomy. We have bicycles for everyone, men, women and children! We will also provide you with helmets and protection for the little ones or seats so you can take them for a walk

• Basic level excursion, which can be done with or without a guide. We will take an ecological walk in the area surrounding our center, along dirt paths and meadows. You will reach panoramic points from which you will have a privileged view of the Park and its mountains

• Advanced level excursion, also with or without a guide, includes paths with steeper slopes and more complex routes, both in terms of kilometers and pedaling style. They are divided into more or less long "rides", from the morning to the whole day (with return at sunset) and may include tasting breaks or visits to well-known surrounding locations.

• High level excursion, with or without a guide, covers several areas. There will be stops and a packed lunch which will be delivered to the participants at the meeting point established at the start. It can also be spread over several days and become an extensive visit to the Park, with overnight stops. It is a very fun experience that enriches the spirit and tones the muscles. We recommend you try it in a group with the help of our professional guides!

• The Trial Zone for those who now know all the secrets of cycling, and want to try their hand at an exciting and different discipline than usual: the trial. A space dedicated to the purest biking, with obstacles and jumps, where you can test your skills and concentration.

• The Down hill where you reach the top of a more or less steep cliff and then go down on a mountain bike assisted by an instructor or alone. This discipline can be simple or more difficult based on the level of slope chosen. You climb to the top of the chosen point with the help of a minibus provided by the Free Ride Center and descend more or less quickly until you reach the finish line.

Free Ride Abruzzo organizes numerous activities to spend your free time having fun. In the winter seasons you can experience something new and original : sailing skiing , known by the English name of Snowkite .

If this is your first time trying this sport, you can take part in our approach to Snowkite courses. So you can try this fun activity, "flying" on the snow with skis on.

Our expert instructors will teach you how to lead the kite, explaining how to use the traction kite that you will be secured during the skiing experience.

If, on the other hand, you are already familiar with a kite (also kitesurf), or have already taken part in the approach, you can enroll in the Snowkite Basic Course , to put into practice all the theory studied and experiment with new gaits. sailing ski.

Finally, for the more experienced, we provide the Snowkite Specialization Course , where you will learn the most advanced techniques of this sport, learning to move on different slopes and snowy slopes, improving all types of gait.
