IAMA International Academy of Climbing and Mountain is located in the climbing hall of the E-motion gym in Terni and uses the Caruso Method during its courses ® .

IAMA is the official school of this innovative method for which it proposes:

• Group lessons on artificial walls ,
• Individual lessons in the gym ,
• Rock climbing ,
• Ice climbing ,
• Off-piste skiing .

All training courses and trainings are taught by IAMA qualified instructors.

The Caruso® Method, developed by the Alpine Guide Paolo Caruso, includes the most complete and systematic technical and didactic methodology for all the techniques indicated and is based on the safety concepts and effectiveness in movement , together with the advantage of offering a methodology aimed at obtaining the maximum benefit from climbing and mountaineering .

The Academy also supports the particularly formative value of climbing when practiced with the main objective of encouraging and developing the coordination skills and the qualitative aspects of the movement .

IAMA recognizes the Caruso® Method as the main technical and didactic reference for teaching the discipline of climbing and mountaineering in all its forms, such as ice, off-piste skiing and ski mountaineering: rely on the high level of professionalism of the staff of IAMA International Climbing and Mountain Academy.

The sport climbing and mountaineering school makes use of the innovative Caruso Method , developed in the 1980s by the mountain guide who gave it its name, and which is proposed to study the principles governing movement in vertical progression applied to both climbing and climbing and mountaineering.

The principles of the Method refer to concepts that are universally applicable to every practitioner and have made it possible to identify the techniques and fundamental progressions which, combined, allow you to develop your motor skills in all ascent conditions applicable to the sports indicated , including the ski skier .

The method is based on the concept that safety and effectiveness in movement, together with the ability to derive the maximum benefit from climbing and mountaineering, are closely related, in this way, internalizing the various techniques, one would obtain a significant improvement in learning, making better motor schemes and avoiding running into the automatic mechanisms of defects or movement errors.

Accedemic courses are organized both on the artificial wall and in the mountains and make use of the innovative Caruso® Method , named after the mountain guide who developed it in the 1980s, and in constant evolution.

The method was born from the need to identify and study the principles that regulate movement in vertical progression , principles that have made it possible to identify the techniques and fundamental progressions aimed at acquiring and developing the ability motor climbing on various walls (rock, ice and in the context of the skifuoripista).

In the advanced climber, the different techniques favor great freedom of motor execution, thanks to the possibility of adapting the progressions of the Method to all situations of the climb.
