The canyoning descents that Umbria Experience offers you are of different types and include different aspects of the practice of canyoning: from the basic descent to abseiling, from canyons without water to paths that include swimming parts.

When descending, if necessary, ropes are also used, whose management in absolute safety remains the sole responsibility of the guide.

However, a common feature of all the descents is that they are totally immersed in an uncontaminated natural environment, inaccessible to normal tourist flows: an absolutely spectacular environment.

Umbria Experience invites you to experience on board the raft one of the most passionate stretches of the Nera river for this sport, the one located downstream from the highest of the waterfalls in Europe, that of the Marmore.

In this stretch the river travels fast due to the currents and, thanks to rocks and differences in height, it creates rapids up to the fourth degree (the rapids are calculated on a scale of levels that starts from level 1 and reaches level 6).

It is important to point out that no particular experience or skills are required to dedicate yourself to rafting, except for the ability to swim, which is essential, and normal-good health conditions.
Equipment and clothing are provided by the Rafting Center.

We also assure you the presence for our descents, on each dinghy, of a guide qualified by FIRaft (Italian Rafting Association) who will take care of managing the crew, of up to six participants, during the hour in which we will be engaged in the water. .

Umbria Experience Rafting also has a variant: soft rafting.
This second type of aquatic discipline is open to everyone, including children and those who cannot swim. in this case the descent is organized in the Nera River Park, in an easy-to-travel stretch of river about five km long.
