Club Vela Camogli

The Club Vela Camogli is located in the heart of Liguria, surrounded by the beauties of Golfo Paradiso, and was founded in 1970 by a group of friends who love the sea and are passionate about the world of sailing.

The center offers courses and rental of sailing boats, kayaks, canoes and various types of boats with and without motor. For a better education of its students it also has a room equipped for meetings and theoretical lessons .

Its facilities are located in an area characterized by protected parks, cultural and culinary traditions, flora and fauna to be discovered and breathtaking views.
The perfect setting to spend a day of adventure, culture and discovery!

The means available to the club are:

• 2 inflatable boats , used for school and for maritime monitoring;
• 4 Laser
• 10 Optimist
• 1 "420"
• 1 Laser2
• 10 canoes for tourism

The school is open all year and has two main locations:

• Beach base , located near the center of Camogli and dedicated to the dinghies and canoes of the Club and Members.
• Nautical base , dedicated to the dinghies and boats of the Club and Members. It is located in the small port on the north side, in front of the small yard.

When driving a canoe, the movement given to the paddle is a combination of pushes and pulls that involves the whole body, activating the most important muscles. It is one of the best sports to spend our beach holidays in a healthy, fresh and fun way.

The Club Vela Camogli offers rental of canoes in the waters of the Golfo Paradiso, in Liguria, along a stretch of coast that lends itself perfectly to excursions tourism of this type, because it includes a large part of the promontory of Monte di Portofino. The center is located on the main beach of Camogli and has members of all ages who practice this sport all year round, both in summer and in winter . Among them, excellent and valiant sailors who use this sport for physical training and athletic preparation.

The canoes made available are dozens, this being one of the main activities of the center.

Sailing is a sport that puts us in synergy with the mysteries and wonders of the sea. But also a physical and mental exercise that allows us to know ourselves and others.

Immersed in the Golfo Paradiso , a few kilometers from Genoa, the Club Vela Camogli is a center open to all those who want to discover and experience the sea, experiencing adrenaline and harmony that only this sport can give us.

Immersed in the natural, historical and cultural beauties of Liguria , the center offers courses both in winter and in summer. The classes are divided by age groups and are managed by experienced instructors able to operate in maximum safety:

• Optimist class, for children aged 8 to 14;
• Laser class, from 12 years upwards;
• Class 420, from 14 upwards.

Although one of the centre's objectives is to prepare athletes for the world of competitive sports, courses are open to everyone all year round.

Sailing is an excellent medicine against stress, a tool to improve our character and that of our children . Most importantly, it requires no talent or experience to be appreciated. Only passion, patience and good will.
