F.I.E. Valle Umbra

F.I.E. Valle Umbra is the voluntary association active in the Umbrian territory for over twenty years, affiliated to the Italian Hiking Federation .

The F.I.E. Valle Umbra organizes excursion activities for members only, ranging from hiking to training courses, all with the desire to develop and promote knowledge of the Umbrian territory and contribute to raising awareness of environmental issues.

The calendar that annually F.I.E. Valle Umbra offers its members many opportunities and itineraries both in summer and in winter; including:

• walks and trekking suitable for everyone, with different degrees of difficulty and commitment,
• mountain bike excursions to Lake Trasimeno and surrounding areas,
• great hiking trips in Italy or abroad aimed at discovering the most surprising scenarios of northern Europe or continental nations,
• snowshoeing in winter to experience the great passion for hiking even in winter.

All outings and trips are led by expert and qualified excursion guides, highly qualified also in accompanying groups and school groups.

The youth section of our members, which welcomes children aged 6 to 16, organizes activities specifically designed for the psycho-physical and cultural development of the youngest.

The active offer for the members of F.I.E. Valle Umbra is also completed with training proposals including courses related to hiking and environmental sciences: contact the association immediately for more information on registration and scheduled activities!

F.I.E. Valle Umbra Trekking organizes outings for members only, ranging from daily walks and trekking in Umbria to hiking trips in Italy and abroad .

It will be possible for non-members to participate in some of the initiatives proposed for information, in order to have access to the registration procedures.

A rich calendar of annual proposals will be available for members, with possibilities suitable for all participants and divided, according to the standards of commitment and standard difficulty, into:

• excursion of level T: Tourist - for exits that do not have itineraries with large differences in height and develop along clearly marked or short-distance paths,
• excursion of level E: Excursion - itineraries that wind on paths of various kinds, which may include steep or steep stretches, but marked,
• excursion of EE level: Expert Hikers - treks that take place along the most challenging paths, often at high altitudes and characterized by steep and exposed sections,
• EEA level excursion: Expert Hikers with Equipment - itineraries that present the first characteristics of the mountaineering route and may require crossing snowfields and glaciers, even demanding ones, or sections that can be traveled along aided sections, passages on first and second grade rock.

F.I.E. Valle Umbra MTB organizes excursions in mountain bike intended only for members of the association, within the Umbrian territory.

The voluntary association affiliated to the Italian Hiking Federation , boasts years of experience and direct activity in organizing hiking activities and outings, aimed at enhancing and promoting knowledge of the region and its interesting naturalistic, landscape and environmental aspects.

The calendar prepared annually by the F.I.E. Valle Umbra MTB boasts among its proposals exits and routes developed for mountain bike enthusiasts, suitable for all levels of preparation of the participants and responding to different degrees of difficulty and commitment.

Among the proposals you will find beautiful half-days of excursions along the Nera river, in its entirely flat stretch that extends, alongside the old railway, from Vallo di Nera to Borgo Cerreto, or unmissable excursions along the shores of the lake Trasimeno.

F.I.E. Valle Umbra Ciaspole offers its members winter hikes with snowshoes (snowshoes) in the Monti Sibillini Park or along the Umbrian Apennines.

Excursions are reserved for members of the association only, while non-members can take part in some occasions organized by this association with years of experience in the field of hikes, for information purposes for registration purposes.

By becoming part of this passionate association, you will have the opportunity to explore an annual calendar rich in possibilities, all aimed at the knowledge and promotion of the Umbrian territory, with its environmental and naturalistic peculiarities, as well as travel opportunities for discovery of the most surprising areas of foreign countries.

Among the proposals you will find in the winter season, unmissable half-days to discover the snow-covered mountain, such as, for example, crossing the woods of the Monte Brunette.
